Francesca Pasinelli
General Manager of the Foundation committed to the fight against genetic diseases

Francesca Pasinelli graduated in Pharmacy in 1983 and subsequently specialised in pharmacology in 1987. She then worked as a researcher and held managerial positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including at SmithKline Beecham S.p.A. and Schering Plough S.p.A., becoming General Manager of the Telethon Foundation from 2009 until 2024. Over the years, she has received several awards, including the Marisa Bellisario Award in 2005, the title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2007, and the Sonia Skarlatos Public Service Award (American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy) in 2008. Finally, in 2019, she was awarded the honour of Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
